“A Bounty of Bead and Wire Bracelets”

“A Bounty of Bead and Wire Necklaces”

Hi Ho Silver

When recently reviewing these two books, it felt like I was back in the “Old West.”  I wasn’t out capturing outlaws to collect a bounty.  But, Lark Books had awarded the readers an abundance of fun, fast jewelry projects.  One was the Nexas bracelet which captured carnelian beads in intertwined jump rings.  Another was the Fiesta necklace utilizing a bountiful color combination of beads.

One doesn’t need any esoteric supplies, just a desire to create.  The instructions for the stylish cuffs, bangles, charm bracelets, pendants, etc., all are very well laid out.  Whether your trigger finger is bent out of shape, or your but is sore from spending all that time in the saddle seat, these books will pique your interest.  Soon you will be at your workbench and on your way to exciting new conquests.

  8. I would love to win these books,so many people are switching to digital and CD's for books now but there is just something special about having a "real" book. I can always use inspiration and guidance. I also did not know about the book reviews on this blog, I am sure this will help in the future. thanks for the opportunity and the info!! dorilvn812@cs.com

  9. What a great contest. As an admirer of the book series, i have always wanted to submit my artwork but never have because i have always been working at jobs which left me little time for my art. These books are such an inspiration, yet I have never had the extra funds to spend on them. This year i made the change to quit my full time employment so as to devote time to making things...funds are still tight but i have never been happier in my life. These books would be a great reward for following my heart...and art! :)

I would like to win as I usually end up spending my extra money on beads rather than books. I have one of the Lark 500 books from several years ago, and would love to have more of them, but my budget usually only allows either beads or books, not both. I've really enjoyed the 500 book that I do have, it is a great source of inspiration and "how did they do that?"

And I had absolutely no problem entering this contest from your instructions in your email to the beading groups. I really don't understand why so many others couldn't figure it out!
